Privacy

Pick Your Type doesn’t ask for an account, a name or a photo.

Your picks and progress

Your picks and quiz progress are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can continue later. They aren’t sent to our server. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Result links

A result link contains the information needed to show your card: your type, the faces on the card and how often you picked each of the six looks. If the link includes a guessing round, it also contains your picks for that round. This information is in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers don’t send to the server. Anyone you send the link to can see that result.

Sharing

The share buttons for X, WhatsApp and Reddit open those services with your result link. Those services handle the link under their own privacy policies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and quiz steps, such as starting a quiz or saving a card. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. Analytics receives page addresses and event names. Your picks and result details stay in your browser or in the links you choose to share.
